Children's Choir
Children's Choir meets weekly for thirty minutes during the program year on Wednesdays at 5:15pm, prior to Community Dinner at 5:45pm. This choir is designed for children in rising 1st-5th grades, and it helps children find their singing voices in the context of a group of other children. We learn music appropriate for singing in church (and the choir sings in church about once a month), and we learn a lot about the stories of the Bible through the lens of traditional Episcopal worship. Some basic reading proficiency is necessary, although much of the music is taught in a "call and response" style at first. Parents should understand that a commitment to weekly rehearsals is expected (much like a sports team or other extra-curricular activity). All children are welcomed!
