Christian Formation

What is Christian Formation?

Christian Formation is a life-long process of spiritual transformation undertaken in community with others, for children, youths, and adults. There are formation opportunities designed for each age group, along with intergenerational programs. 

Adult Formation

Adult Formation takes many shapes, but all have in common a desire to create a safe place to ask tough questions about our faith, a place to listen as others share their truths, and a place to learn and inwardly digest in conversation with clergy and each other.  Regular programs include Sunday Forums, Lectio Divina, Wednesday Bible Study, and Daily Morning Prayer.

Youth Formation

Holy Comforter Youth are vibrant partners in our ministry: learning, growing, serving, and sharing the Way of Love we have found through Jesus Christ. Our Youth Program includes weekly gatherings, experiential learning, youth-led worship, significant leadership and engagement with diocesan activities, challenging confirmation preparation, and fun. Our Youth serve the church in meaningful and visible ways: as acolytes, lectors, translators, hosts, Room in the Inn volunteers, and more. 

Children's Formation

Children’s Christian Formation is a place to learn, wonder, ask questions, and grow together. Each Sunday, children explore Bible stories, prayer, and faith through age-appropriate discussions and hands-on activities. Most importantly, we want every child to know that God loves them and they belong here.
