Holy Comforter is proud of our groundbreaking Hispanic Ministries programs. We take a three-pronged approach to serving the educational, spiritual and day-to-day needs of our area Hispanic population by offering English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes, a La Misa Sunday afternoon service, and a dual language preschool.

Pledging FAQs

The Holy Comforter Foundation is charged with granting money to further the mission and ministry of the church, outside the annual operating budget, and separate from capital campaigns. Currently the Foundation manages two funds - the Mission and Ministry Fund and the Building and Grounds Fund.

NourishUp

Volunteers from the parish and community work together to assist our neighbors by providing food from our NourishUp pantry. For more information and to receive a week’s supply of nutritionally balanced groceries, a referral is necessary. Click the link below or call 704-523-4333.

Our pantry is open to serve our neighbors five days a week. We also partner with Promising Pages and provide free children’s books to each family.

Holy Comforter opened the first Loaves & Fishes food pantry (which has now become NourishUp) in Charlotte in 1975, thanks to the dedication, inspiration, and determination of parishioner Virginia Sampson. For more information or to volunteer, contact Jane Crutchfield.
