Thank YOU for your generosity to The Rise at Clinton
Sissy Poland, Beth Hardin and Brad Patterson attended a Roof Above event at The Rise on Clanton. While the event was an interview of Bruce McIntyre (retired businessman and volunteer for Urban Ministry and now Roof Above) about his memoir “There are no answers here, only questions”, it was an opportunity to see The Rise living what it was created for: providing housing and community for 88 people who would otherwise be homeless.
The community room has wooden plaques recognizing who contributed to make The Rise a reality.
Roof Above staff again expressed their deep appreciation for all that Holy Comforter does for the homeless.
The memoir covers Bruce’s struggles with cancer and his relationships with Roof Above neighbors, and shows how we need others because we can’t do it all on our own. Two copies will be placed in the Library for parishioners.
