“The process of intentional and holy listening speaks volumes about who we are and the kind of people we want to be.” The Rev. Kevin Brown, Rector
HOCO2020, Caring for our Commons is Holy Comforter’s process of intentional and holy listening, or “discernment,” to look ahead to our future and identify ways in which we are called to care for this our parish home as we use its facilities to care for our larger community. It is the first step in an intentional and disciplined process for exploring our long-term capital needs and opportunities as they relate to our mission to love God and share God’s love. Based on what we hear from parishioners, this may lead to a capital campaign to fund those needs and opportunities.
All parishioners are invited to participate in this holy listening and give their input. Small group sessions will be held in February. Each 90-minute session will be led by a trained volunteer facilitator with no more than 20 participants, to allow for thoughtful dialogue and for all voices to be heard.
